Darren Trentacosta
Creative Development • Strategist • Producer • Image-Maker
Darren Trentacosta is a creative director, strategist, producer, and image-maker with more than 40 years of experience leading multidisciplinary projects across major creative capitals, including New York, Paris, Milan, Prague, London, Monte Carlo, Vietnam, Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, and New Orleans. Working at the intersection of art and commerce, Darren approaches every venture with a relentless curiosity—learning from diverse cultures, unique experiences, and the complex challenges of bringing bold ideas to life. His expansive perspective has been shaped by decades of international travel and a career spanning vastly different industries.
Darren specializes in transforming unconventional concepts into workable strategies and long-term growth opportunities. An expert at aligning stakeholders and shaping strategic identity, he guides projects seamlessly from concept through execution in highly competitive markets. His collaborative portfolio includes executive teams, founders, investors, celebrity talent, and luxury brands, as well as Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, and philanthropic organizations.
A native New Orleanian, Darren holds a degree in photography and fashion design having attended both The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and Otis Parsons School of Design in Los Angeles. His career quickly evolved far beyond traditional design boundaries into broad creative leadership. His diverse body of work features commercial advertising campaigns; global garment manufacturing; creative writing for Warner Bros. Records (Madonna & Prince); celebrity talent management (Cher and Ellen DeGeneres); a workforce development program for women in prison; and the acquisition, rebranding, and US launch of a British spirits brand. He has also developed blueprints for cultural institutions, produced marketing photography for a Danish green energy producer, and is currently in development on a documentary film in New York City.
These varied experiences define his ultimate approach to creative work—focusing not just on how a project looks, but why it works, how it scales, and what makes it deeply relevant in today’s world. Committed to fostering the next generation of creative talent, Darren regularly mentors’ students as a way of giving back to the community that gave so much to him.
Darren is represented by NYC agent Florence Spidalieri.
